Various - Harbour Somme Association - 31st May 2008
On the 31st May 2008 the Harbour Somme Association dedicated their new uniforms and bannerrete at a function in the Maple Leaf Club in east Belfast. The dedication was led by the Reve rend Mervyn Gibson and the music played by the Rising Sons Flute Band. Following the dedication Councillor Michael Copeland carrying one of the rifles smuggled into Ulster in 1912 gav e a stirring speech which was appreciated by the large crowd.
The new standard was handed over to the Rising Sons Flute Band who have agreed to carry it whilst on parade.
